Event Description:
ORMACO closes out its 2020 Sunday Concert Season with a virtual pre-recorded concert streamed by the Ekklésia Reed Quintet on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. The ensemble will present a program of traditional holiday classics and a few new pieces by local composers inspired by, and recorded during, the COVID pandemic.
ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE
Ekklésia Reed Quintet was formed in 2019 and is the first professional reed quintet in Ohio. In one year ERQ has premiered, or been commissioned to premiere, nearly a dozen new works by local composers. The chamber ensemble has been featured as a guest artist on several university concert series, WCLV 104.9FM, Ideastream Program Guide, WRUW 91.1FM, MCAC Arts Week, and has been selected as a residence ensemble for several Cleveland arts organizations.
